Kahn - Legislative Materials

The Kahn collection contains a wide assortment of government documents. Below are legislative materials related to Hawaiʻi beginning with the 52nd Congressional Session (1893) and continuing through the 81st Congressional Session (1950). Various subjects are covered, including an investigation into the fisheries and fishing laws in Hawaiʻi, the retiring of Hawaiʻi coinage and currency, drafts of treaties, and labor reports. It also includes Queen Liliʻuokalani’s official claim submitted to the U.S. government, protesting the illegal overthrow and demanding her reinstatement as sovereign of the Hawaiian Islands.
